The Department of Plant Production and Agricultural Technology carries out most of its teaching and research activities in the School of Advanced Agricultural Engineering in Albacete (degrees: Agriculturist; Agriculturist specialised in Agricultural and Livestock Exploitations; Agriculturist specialised in Forest Exploitations, University Mater's in Agricultural Engineering, University Master's in Science and Agricultural Engineering), and also in the School of Advanced Agricultural Civil Engineering in Ciudad Real (degrees: Agriculturist in Agricultural and Livestock Exploitations; Agriculturist specialised in Agricultural and Food Industries; Agriculturist specialised in Hortofruticulture and Gardening, University Mater's in Agricultural Engineering). Likewise, some subject courses are taught in the School of Advanced Civil Engineering and in the School of Chemical Sciences, both in Ciudad Real.

Currently, the Department is made up of 47 teachers (27 of whom belong to the "Plant Production" area of knowledge, 15 to the "Agroforestry Engineering" area, and 5 to the "Agricultural Economy, Sociology and Policy-making" area, five are laboratory technicians and a Department Manager.

This Department is based in the School of Advanced Agricultural Engineering, Campus Universitario s/n, 02071 Albacete.
